Home Water Storage

-Heavy, flat plastic bottles (like for soda, cranberry juice) with screw-on lids
-purchase rainwater catchment storage in 15, 55, 350 gallon sizes. Frequently available from restaurants (previously used to store soda concentrate) check on Craigslist!

For all water, plan on storing it with a few drops of bleach. Filter any questionable water. We have a Berkey homemade filter (2 5-gallon buckets, black Berkey filter). I got a UV light, and we have tablets for individual liters in our BOBs, and the standby Katydin.

I don't want to repeat the many posts all over the web. Water storage seems so easy and basic, however, it is the #1 thing you can have to help your family. Other things may be more "Fun" to buy, but water, clean water, can save your life.

Pull up Craigslist for your area and type "rainwater collection" into the search bar. There are many restaurant owners who sell soda syrup containers.
