Barter Goods

A was reading a lot about barter and inflation... Here's my list of easy-to get items that would be great to barter and have a good shelf life:

-6oz vacuum-sealed packages of ground coffee
-chocolate bars
-pack cigarettes
-fifth alcohol
-can liquid baby formula OR
-package of individual sleeves of pre-measured
powder

The idea is to think of things of value to the person who may have something that you need. Imagine you have a cavity and the dentist hasn't seen a cigarette in a month or two. Imagine you need some gasoline and that man's wife said he better not come home without formula for their eight-month-old.

However, keep in mind that most people aren't prepping anything and will probably have nothing to trade you. So if it's a toss-up between barter goods and another meal for your family, go with the meal.

We're so pleased you are reading Farming Salt & Light! Choose how you live!
